Wanted: Durham Region small acreage wanted to rent or buy

We are looking to rent a 0.5 - 2 acres of cleared, cultivable land in Durham region. We would be interested to consider any opportunities north of 407, east of 404 to Port Perry. We are looking for opportunities to produce market vegetables using organic conventions. Hoop houses/greenhouses/water and electric infrastructure elements would be great advantages.

We are ideally looking for a hobby farm-sized property or farm operation that we could purchase within the next year or two nearing the low end of the market in price. Rent to own would be a welcome option!

Thanks for the reply! I haven’t checked the FarmStart database. I knew their operations were discontinued, so I put them out of mind. I will check their site.

I think Denis may be referring to FarmLink (www.farmlink.net). Certainly a site worth checking out.
