Does anyone have any experience using unwaxed cardboard boxes for storage and delivery of vegetables, particularly bunched leafy greens and bunched roots?
We have always used Rubbermaid containers for our CSA shares and these work great. But this year I am also doing a pre-packed delivery that I need to have the produce packed and ready to hand-off to the customer.
Looking for a container that will keep the veggies fresh in our cooler for 24 hrs. and will not fall apart with a bit of dampness. Thoughts?
I’m not interested in waxed boxes or plastic bags as we’re trying to reduce farm waste.
Thanks, Lorraine
