I’ve been reading “Will Bonsall’s Essential Guide to Radical, Self-Reliant Gardening” and he’s got me thinking about growing some grains/pulses for personal use. I think he tills and plants with an Earthway seeder and mulches with shredded leaves, but I’m wondering if anyone has experience with small-scale seed drills that can plant directly into a rolled-over cover crop?
This Gabe Brown guy from North Dakota has videos all over youtube and he seems to seed drill thousands of acres without tillage. Could his methods work in Ontario and be adapted to a much, much smaller scale with less expensive equipment?
