Shade Cloth Sources

Hi Everyone,

Sudden Summer has descended on the farm and I’m coming to terms with the fact that I need to buy some shade cloth if our cool-season crops like bok choi and radishes are going to stand a chance in this weather.

Who’s got the best price you’ve come across?
Does anyone sell it in row-cover like strips (~6’x100’) or should I expect to cut to size
Anyone have luck with shade-cloth alternatives?

Thanks!
Sarah

give Dubois Ag a call, http://www.duboisag.com/en/shade-net.html
Add them to your favourites.
They are great company for everything you might need.

Been looking for something narrower as well without much luck. Dubois is out of stock of their 6’ widtch (believe it comes in 325’ lengths) until next season as it comes from South Korea (this according to their Simcoe sales rep). Johnny’s had 4’ widths I believe but they are quite pricey relative to Dubois. If anyone else has any ideas please share!

I’m not sure how the price compares, but I just bought a bunch from Home Depot. The manufacturer is Sun Shade. The pieces I bought were 6 x 25 ($61) and 6 x 15 ($40) but they have a bunch of other sizes. They are definitely intended to be for home/patio use, but we’re using ours for sheep
