We like having goats in with our sheep, because the former eat things the latter won’t that could become a nuisance if left to grow. Unfortunately, the goats we have, which are mostly Boers (likely crossed with who-knows-what) bully our sheep (Dorpers, Katahdins, and crosses of the two) something awful. So we’re wondering if there might be a breed of goat that would probably be less aggressive towards the sheep. Any suggestions?
Oh my goodness! We had the same problem big time! We had to separate their stalls and let them graze separately. I have the same type of goat with the same type of sheep. It never occurred to me that breed had anything to do with it and I wouldn’t select a breed based on that anyway.
